About Us

JLV is a Western Australian company which has been manufacturing, engineering and maintaining cable belt conveyor systems for over thirty five years.

Our manufacturing facility is located in Harvey in the South West of Western Australia. From this plant we manufacture and distribute products around Australia and the world.

Our engineering capabilities are supplied by Mechanical and Chemical Engineering staff and through strategic partnerships with specialist engineering consultants.

Our Site Maintenance division consists of a dozen full time steel wire rope splicers. These employees are experts in their field and attend to inspection, maintenance and change out of steel driving ropes or cables on cable belt conveyor systems.

JLV Industries has been involved in the mining and heavy construction industries since 1979. The original company was established by Bill Johnson and Doug Vance to construct the Worsley Alumina 52 km overland conveyor system in Western Australia. Many other major projects, both in Australia and overseas, were successfully completed in the ensuing years.

In 1988, the directors of JLV decided to focus more on the design and manufacture of conveyor belt and conveyor systems. This change of focus was driven by the desire to control more closely the quality of the goods and services that JLV was supplying to customers.

In 1992, JLV was awarded accreditation by SAI Global as a Quality Endorsed Company (AS/NZS ISO 9001).

We are a private company based in Perth, Western Australia. The company has enjoyed a steady growth and maintains turnover and profitability, which enables us to reinvest a significant proportion into research and development of our new products.

JLV specialises in the design and manufacture of Cable Hauled Conveyor Systems and componentry. However, more recently we have been involved with design and manufacture of the Glideseal Idler Roller for conventional belt conveyors.

JLV is based in Harvey south of Perth, Western Australia.
